- Wooden lamp base (with pre-cut center hole)
- Felt pads
- Strong string
- Thread and needle
- Paint (your choice)
Color and adorn your twigs. Your lamp can have either a natural feel or a more modern twist to it. If you enjoy a more contemporary appearance, start by painting the twigs for the lamp first. While white paint has a very crisp look, any color you like will work for this project. It helps with getting paint on both sides if you hang the twigs up. Let the twigs dry off before working with them.
The metal rod should not be visible. Your lamp made of twig branches ought to be as naturally realistic looking as you can make it. You must not leave man-made materials exposed to the eye. Next you should assemble the lamp. A twig lamp won't work without the appropriate components. Right now you have to put together the lamp kit. Thread the string up through the metal bar.
